ABOUT US

Nspire was founded to provide an alternative to the stressful, box checking, data driven process that college admissions can often become. We believe the process should be enlightening and spark excitement for the future. We understand the practical considerations and address those head-on as well. We just do it in a way that keeps the big picture in mind. Our highly experienced team has worked with students for more than 25 years and has been extremely successful in getting students into their target schools.

Our Core Beliefs

The following beliefs have been developed from doing this work for the last 25 years. They drive everything we do. We believe…
  • Getting into college is only the first step.
  • Students are at their best when they make their own choices.
  • Students need to feel more powerful, not less.
  • Students show exponential growth when they feel supported and confident.
  • Sometimes the smallest ideas can make all the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Q: When should we start working with a coach?

A: The earlier, the better. Ideally, students begin in 10th or 11th grade. Starting early allows time to build a strong narrative, plan meaningful activities, and reduce last-minute stress. Senior year is not too late-but August is.

Q: Will coaching improve my student's chances of getting in?

A: While no one can guarantee admission, coaching absolutely helps students stand out. We help them present their best selves-not just with stronger essays, but with clarity, confidence, and a strategy aligned with their goals.

Q: How is this different from the school counselor's help?

A: School counselors are amazing, but they often have hundreds of students. We provide personalized, one-on-one attention. We don't just help students apply-we help them understand who they are and what environments they'll thrive in.

Q: Do you help with essays?

A: Yes, extensively. We guide students through brainstorming, drafting, editing, and polishing their essays. Our goal is not just to get the grammar right, but to help the student's story shine through in their unique voice.

Q: What kinds of students do you work with?

A: We work with driven, curious, and thoughtful students from all academic backgrounds. Whether you're targeting Ivy League schools or small liberal arts colleges, we help you find your best-fit path.

Q: Is this only for students aiming at top-tier colleges?

A: Not at all. A great fit matters more than prestige. We help students explore options based on academic goals, learning styles, extracurricular passions, geography, financial fit, and future plans.

Q: Do parents have a role in the coaching process?

A: Absolutely. We often begin by aligning with parents to clarify expectations. Throughout the process, parents are included-but we also encourage the student to take ownership of their journey.

Q: What's the difference between group and one-on-one coaching?

A: Group coaching offers a supportive peer environment, while one-on-one coaching provides deep personalization. Many families choose a blend-group sessions for general strategy, and private sessions for essay work and school lists.

Q: How do we get started?

A: Start with a complimentary consultation. We'll talk about your goals, timeline, and questions-and help you decide if our coaching is the right fit. Click the "Free Consultation" button at the top of our website to schedule.
